Overview
The Manual UV Inspection Station (MUVIS) is a stand-alone UV microscope that provides a quick and easy way to scan your plates for protein crystals. MUVIS's sensitive camera captures your drops in both visible and UV light, allowing you to distinguish whether or not your crystals are protein formations. MUVIS's black-and-white, 1.4 MPx CCD camera captures your drops at a 2.24mm field of view, magnifying your drops for close inspection.
Included software lets you fine-tune your images. An overlay function matches UV hot-spots to visible features allowing you to quickly identify which crystals are proteins. Capture visible and UV images of your drops with the press of a button and save them to your computer. MUVIS provides a fast, cost effective way to analyze your plates and distinguish protein crystal hits.
