15mL x 15 Falcon Tube Rack with Septa for Tecan Liquid Handlers

This ingredient rack holds fifteen 15mL Falcon tubes (conical-bottomed centrifuge tubes). The rack comes with 30 Falcon tube septum lids (Part # FMLX-201578). Rubber inserts in the rack securely hold the tubes so that the liquid handler cannot pull the tubes out when retracting. This ingredient rack works with the Tecan PosID and takes up 1 grid position on the deck. Part # FMLX-201356.

100mL x 3 Trough Rack with Septa for Tecan Liquid Handlers

This ingredient rack holds three 100mL Tecan troughs (Tecan Part # 10613048). The rack comes with six specially-designed septa lids (Part # FMLX-201414) and six 100mL Tecan Troughs. A quick-release cover on the rack securely holds the troughs and lids in place so that the liquid handler doesn't pull the troughs out when retracting. This ingredient rack works with the Tecan PosID and takes up 1 grid position on the deck. Part # FMLX-201412.

40mL x 10 I-ChemRack for Tecan Liquid Handlers

This ingredient rack holds 10 I-Chem vials with septa (Fisher Part # 057-19-126). Each vial holds 40mL. Rubber inserts in the rack securely hold the tubes so that the liquid handler doesn't pull out the tubes when retracting. The ingredient rack works with the Tecan PosID and takes up 2 grid positions on the deck. Part # FMLX-200577.

5mL x 16 Glass Vial Rack for Tecan Liquid Handlers

This ingredient rack holds 16 glass vials with septa (Fisher Part # 14-959-35AA and NC9992499). Each vial holds 15mL. Rubber inserts in the rack securely hold the tubes so that the liquid handler doesn't pull out the tube when retracting. The ingredient rack works with the Tecan PosID and takes up 1 grid position on the deck. Part # FMLX-200584.

Deep Well Hold-Down Rack for Tecan Liquid Handlers

This microplate rack for the Tecan Liquid handlers holds 3 microplates in portrait orientation. A spring-loaded gripper at each position holds down deep well plates so that an Axymat septa (Axygen Part # AM-2ML-RD) can be placed only on a compatible deep well. Other pierceable septa may not be available. Alternately, cap mats can also be used. Normal SBS microplates may also be used in each position, but the gripper mechanism will only hold down deep wells. The gripper mechanisms can be operated by hand or using the Tecan's ROMA arm. The ingredient rack works with the Tecan PosID and takes up 6 grid positions on the deck. Part # FMLX-201477.

96-Positions Falcon Tube Rack

This ingredient rack holds ninety-six 15mL falcon tubes (conical-bottomed centrifuge tubes). A quick-release cover goes over all of the tubes in the rack and can be used with SaranWrap™ as septa. Typically this rack would be placed on the deck for copying screens from 15mL Falcon tubes to deep well blocks. The rack holds tubes in an 8x12 grid, just like a 96-well microplate. This ingredient rack does not work with the Tecan PosID and takes up 13 grid positions on the deck. Part # FMLX-201277.

15mL Falcon Tube Septum Lids

These septum lids fit 15mL Falcon tubes (conical-bottomed centrifuge tubes). They can be easily pierced by liquid handlers such as the Tecan and completely reseal after piercing (tested for being pierced 10,000 times). The lids are easily pressed in and removed by hand, yet won't come loose when the liquid handling tip is removed. The lids are autoclavable and are specially designed to guide the liquid handling tip to the same puncture point each time. Available in quantities of 30. Part # FMLX-201578.

100mL Trough Septa Lids for Tecan Liquid Handlers

These septa fit 100mL Tecan troughs (Tecan Part # 10613048). They can be easily pierced by the liquid handler and form an air-tight seal after piercing. The septa are autoclavable, have 8 tip entry positions, and are specially designed to guide the liquid handling tips to the same puncture points each time. Available in quantities of 6. Falcon Tube Lids for Hamilton Star Liquid Handlers

These lids fit 50mL Falcon tubes and can be picked up by the CORE tips of the Hamilton Star. Heavy stainless steel construction and an O-ring work together to provide a tight seal on the Falcon tube. The lids stack on top of one another to save deck space when they are removed from the tubes. Part # FMLX-201118.

Batch Adaptors

These adaptors convert microbatch and vaporbatch plates to an SBS footprint so they can be used with SBS-compatible automation devices. To convert a 72-well microbatch plate (Hampton Research Part # HR3-120), use Part # FMLX-200935. To convert a vaporbatch plate (Hampton Research Part # DI-038), use Part # FMLX-200936.

Rock Imager Load Port Hotels

Additional load port hotels are available for Rock Imager 1000 (Part # FMLX-200709), Rock Imager 182 (Part # FMLX-200062 for SBS, Part # FMLX-201237 for Linbro) and for Rock Imager 54 (Part # FMLX-200062). These removable hotels allow you to rotate plates in and out of the system more easily.

Digital Thermoelectric Protein Chiller

The protein chiller holds 8 Eppendorf Tubes, 0.5mL each, and chills them to a pre-set temperature between -2 and 18 degrees Celsius. A control box displays the current temperature and allows the user to enter a set temperature. A feedback sensor monitors and displays the actual temperature with 0.1 degree Celsius precision. The top of the chiller is specially designed to hold down the Eppendorf tubes so septa (Fisher Part # 50823906) can be used to keep the protein from evaporating. This device uses a thermoelectric (Peltier) element for cooling so there is no need for a large, noisy compressor. Chiller rack dimensions: 144 x 60 x 62mm. Control box dimensions: 175 x 125 x 62mm.
