Rock Imager UV

Overview

Formulatrix' UV imaging technology uses the fluorescence of tryptophan under ultraviolet light to reveal critical new information about your drops. This technology helps you determine whether a particular crystal is protein or not and aids in finding hidden crystals not visible with bright-field imaging. Rock Imager UV is a automated UV imaging system specifically designed for protein and membrane (Lipidic Cubic Phase) crystallization. Our UV imaging solution uses 100% UV optimized components: UV grade optics, UV sensitive camera, and UV lighting. This is critical to achieving the best image quality and highest imaging speed possible.

Rock Imager UV can be purchased as a retrofit for an existing Rock Imager or as an option on a new Rock Imager. Rock Imager's high quality visible light components remain and an additional new UV optical path is added so you can get the best UV and visible light images.

    Efficient :
Cut the time it takes to review your crystal images in half.
    Optimized :
There is no compromise in our UV optics and camera in favor of visible light paths.
    Fast :
Using UV imaging, a 96-well plate can be imaged in about 5 minutes.
    Magnify :
Zoom in to see your crystals in greater detail.
    Discriminate :
UV imaging makes it easy to find crystals buried in precipitant and distinguish them from salt crystals.
