Experiment Design
Rock Maker provides powerful tools for rapidly and intuitively designing experiments. These include screen, grid and random experiments. Experiment designs are stored in a central database for later dispensing, imaging and analysis.
Liquid Dispensing
Rock Maker drives liquid handlers to automatically dispense experiments. This includes dispensing experiments from screen plates, dispensing screens from stocks and dispensing experiments directly from stocks. While Rock Maker can integrate with virtually any liquid handler upon request, we currently provide tight off the shelf integrations with Formulator™, Tecan Freedom and Evo lines, Hamilton Star.
Data Analysis
Rock Maker provides a growing set of data analysis tools to allow for rapid optimization from simply dragging and dropping promising conditions from plate viewer into new grid or random experiments to a powerful search tool that allows conditions to be exported for visualization in other tools.
Image Collection, Viewing and Scoring
Rock Maker pulls in images from imaging hardware and links the images to the original experiment design. Rock Maker provides a powerful plate viewer that allows researchers to rapidly view and score images at their desktop. Rock Maker’s image viewer also allows the user to dynamically zoom in and out using the mouse scroll wheel and annotate images with pen marks, rulers and notes. Rock Maker also provides a scheduling interface to drive plate storage and retrieval systems. Rock Maker can be integrated with third party imaging systems or with Rock Imager systems.
Rock Maker XML for Ingredients and Screens
Rock Maker supports XML based import and export of Ingredients and Screen definitions. You can download and import your favorite screens directly from the vendor web site ensuring high quality and consistent data. Click here to read more about supporting vendors and specification of the XML format.
